Tishman Speyer Announces Lease Transaction for Avant at 222 North LaSalle

Chicago, IL June 2, 2015

Tishman Speyer, one of the world’s leading real estate developers and owners, today announced that it has signed online personal lending company Avant to a long term lease for approximately 78,794 square feet at 222 North LaSalle in downtown Chicago. The location will serve as the new home of Avant’s corporate headquarters, which has been based in Chicago since 2012.

Avant will benefit from a number of new amenities and major capital improvements recently completed at the property. They include the creation of a 7,200 square-foot, state-of-the-art conference center/ auditorium with capacity for 125 and an 8,000 square-foot tenant lounge, as well as the addition of two new restaurants on the main lobby - Prime & Provisions Restaurant and Glazed & Infused Donut Shop.

222 North LaSalle, a 26-story office tower totaling 938,300 rentable square feet, also offers a valet parking garage, full service fitness center and 40,000 SF floor plates with panoramic views of the Chicago River. Combining craftsmanship of the past with the infrastructure of today, 222 North LaSalle has achieved LEED Silver certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED rating system, as well as ENERGY STAR certification.
